Dr. Johanna Zuehls has been practicing audiology for almost 25 years! She’s known for being friendly and approachable. Dr. Zuehls received a Doctorate of Audiology from Pennsylvania College of Optometry School of Audiology and a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
When Dr. Johanna graduated from college almost 25 years ago, she had no intention of starting her own practice. After graduation, Johanna worked for an ENT practice and soon felt ready to start a family. While she enjoyed her job, it didn’t provide much flexibility for raising children, however Johanna knew she wasn’t skilled at keeping house or cooking. Her husband, Sam suggested that she start her own practice so that she could bring her children to work. They began looking for a location for a practice and happened upon the old Potter’s Insurance building. It was perfect! Immediately, they put in an offer just 2 days after giving birth to their first son. After renovations were made to turn the old insurance building into an audiology clinic, Heritage Hearing Care was opened! Dr. Johanna wanted the name of the practice to reflect the sense of family and tradition that she so strongly believes in. Since the practice opened over 20 years ago, Johanna and Sam welcomed 2 more sons to their family.
All of their sons have been raised in the practice and have grown up answering the business phones and greeting patients. Their first son has almost finished his undergraduate education and the other two are not far behind.
We are truly grateful for each and every person who has blessed us by being in our lives. Thank you for being a part of our legacy!
